Keeping your pets safe during Halloween
In this section
- Keep sweets, treats and chocolates out of reach from your pet. Chocolate and chemicals used to sweeten treats are poisonous to animals
- Don’t force your pet to wear a Halloween costume, so animals can become very stressed by being made to dress up
- Keep your pets inside, but ensure they have a tag on their collar and are microchipped just in case they escape
- Minimise the escape risk by keeping your pets away from the door when opening it to Trick or Treaters
- If you’re having a Halloween party, give your pet a safe and quiet place to escape from the celebrations
