Report a missed bin collection

If your bin or container has not been emptied on the day your collection is due, you can report it online.

Service Updates

BOX LANE, BOX VILLAGE - ROAD CLOSURE Updated 27.04.26

We had hoped the normal collection vehicle could access Box from 1 May, however we have been advised that the road surface will not be suitable for the 26‑tonne vehicle until the end of May. Temporary collection arrangements will therefore remain in place, with services returning to normal from 3 June.

Letters have been sent to affected properties and should arrive by 30 April. If you believe you should have received a letter but have not, please contact recycling@stroud.gov.uk

14 MAY 2026 -UPDATE FOR WASTE COLLECTIONS IN:

SUMMER STREET, STROUD

SUMMER CRESCENT, STROUD

WOODSIDE STROUD, STROUD

Ubico attempted to collect garden waste, recycling, and refuse on Thursday 14th May in the roads listed above. We have liaised with Wales and West, and due to the extent of excavation works and multiple open sections of the road, it is currently unsafe for collection vehicles to gain access. Wales and West have advised that they aim to complete backfilling works and restore access by Tuesday 19 May.

Subject to access being available, we will return on Tuesday 19 May to carry out the following collections:

  • Refuse: one additional side waste bag will be collected (on this date only)
  • Garden waste (for subscribed customers): one additional side waste bag will be collected (on this date only)
  • Recycling: additional materials will be collected if presented in an open-topped container

We would be grateful if residents could park considerately to help ensure safe access for collection vehicles.

Before you report a missed bin:

  • Check any service updates above.
  • Is it your bin collection day? You can find your collection day and printable collection calendar, via My House.
  • Did you leave your bin in the right place? Bins should be placed at the edge of your property (where gates or drives meet the pavement) unless you have an assisted collection.
  • Was your bin out in time? Collections start from 6:00am.
  • Missed bins should be reported within 2 days of the scheduled collection.
  • Bad weather - Inclement weather such as snow and ice may mean that it is unsafe for bin crews to leave the depot. However, unless otherwise instructed by the Council, please leave your bin/containers out as normal and we will empty them as soon as we are able.
