Taxi Fares

Stroud District Council sets a table of fares which is the maximum that taxis licensed by Stroud District Council can charge customers.

Private hire fares are not set by the Council. The fare is agreed between the operator and the customer when the journey is booked.

Conditions of Hiring - The charges above are the maximum permitted to be charged for each journey within the District of Stroud

1.      The carriage of packages or bicycles or animals (apart from guide, hearing or assistance dogs) or intoxicated or troublesome persons, is at the driver’s discretion.

2.      Guide, hearing or assistance dogs must be carried unless the driver has an exemption on medical grounds.

3.      At driver’s discretion, a deposit may be required prior to journey commencing.
