Filming in the Stroud District

Filming in the Stroud district

From Cotswold hills and historic market towns to industrial heritage sites, canals, woodlands and real communities, Stroud district offers a diverse range of locations for film, television, commercial and photographic productions.

As a proud member of Creative England's Film Friendly Partnership, Stroud District Council welcomes productions of all sizes and is committed to supporting filming activity across the district. Whether you are looking for dramatic rural landscapes, characterful town centres, period settings or unique heritage locations, our district provides a rich and varied backdrop for screen productions.

We work with partners to help productions identify locations, navigate permissions and connect with local businesses, services and communities. Our aim is to make filming in the Stroud district as straightforward and successful as possible.

Interested in registering on the Creative England database?

Your property could be just what filmmakers are looking for, be it a cottage or a castle, a suburban semi or stately home. If your property is based in England, outside of London and could accommodate filming, find out more and register on Creative England’s free database.

Alternatively, Creative England’s database is also populated with local facilities and crew. Registration is again free, so whether you are an experienced professional or new entrant, an established business or start-up company, register on the database so productions filming in the region can find you.
