Helping people make their homes more energy efficient
We are working with the other councils in Gloucestershire and FurbNow to bring together information about how you can improve the energy efficiency in your home.
FurbNow can help you:
- Get expert advice on home energy improvements
- Get ideas and information on improvements specific to your property
- Eligible properties can get a whole house assessment and Energy Plan
- Get access to a network of trusted contractors and suppliers
- Support throughout the retrofit process from Furbnow experts
Furbnow will assess your whole house and provide a wide range of recommendations - so you don't need to go to separate suppliers to get quotes for different sorts of energy efficiency measures.
Energy efficiency measures can include improvements to your home like:
- Fixing extractor fans
- Excluding draughts
- Getting insulation (external or internal)
- Getting solar panels
- Replacing boilers or oil heating
- Getting new windows
See an example of energy efficiency measures included in a home energy plan here.
Alternatively, if your household income is below £36,000 and you own or privately rent an inefficient property, you might qualify for the Warm & Well scheme. It offers fully-funded insulation and low-carbon heating.
