We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

Stroud District Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non‑compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

Non‑compliance with the accessibility regulations
  • The following accessibility issues have been identified through testing and have not yet been fully resolved:

    • Some buttons and links do not meet minimum colour contrast requirements in certain states, including hover, focus, high‑zoom, and mobile views (WCAG 1.4.3, WCAG 1.4.11).
    • Some images do not have appropriate alternative text (WCAG 1.1.1).
    • Keyboard focus can be difficult to manage in some third‑party components (WCAG 2.1.1, WCAG 2.4.3).
    • Some PDF documents do not fully meet accessibility requirements, including colour contrast and structure issues (WCAG 1.4.3, WCAG 1.3.1).
    • Certain text and interface elements do not reflow correctly at high zoom levels (WCAG 1.4.10).

    These issues are being actively reviewed and addressed. Where content is hosted by third‑party suppliers, we are working with them to resolve outstanding accessibility issues. Some components are scheduled for replacement or upgrade.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We are actively working to fix the accessibility issues identified on this website. This includes updating content and improving functionality. In some cases, improvements depend on third-party systems or software, and we are working closely with those providers to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.
