No elections May 2026
There are NO elections scheduled in the Stroud district in May 2026, and there are no by-elections planned.
Why?
Stroud District Council elections are held every four years, with the most recent taking place in 2024. Other parts of the country may be holding elections in 2026 because their election cycle falls in a different year.
We are waiting for the Government to confirm plans to replace Gloucestershire's existing county, borough and district councils. A decision is expected in summer 2026, with elections to the shadow authority(s) likely to take place in May 2027.
