Draft Climate and Nature Strategy Consultation

Date of consultation: Wednesday 23 July 2025 to Tuesday 30 September 2025

Consultation summary

Stroud District Council is revising and updating the 2030 Carbon Neutral Strategy to create a new Climate and Nature Strategy. This consultation seeks your views on changes we are proposing as part of that review and update. These include our new ambitions for carbon emissions, nature and climate adaptation and your views on a series of new strategic objectives that describe what we are trying to achieve within specific sectors of Council work.

Your responses will help us gather valuable insights into the climate and nature priorities of district residents and ensure that our consultation and engagement activity is relevant and meaningful.

Below you will find a copy of the full draft strategy, a summary or “Strategy on a page” and a copy of our carbon baseline summary, that provides context on our new emissions ambitions, a glossary of words and phrases you will find in the draft strategy and a printable pdf version of the survey if you prefer to respond in writing.
