Willow Weaving Workshop with Helen Lomberg

Wednesday, March 14, 2018 - Wednesday, March 28, 2018

Expert willow sculptor, Helen Lomberg will be running two full-day interactive workshops, providing an introduction to the traditional and intricate craft of willow weaving on Wednesday 14th and Wednesday 28th March.

Make your own plant support to take home!

These one-day practical courses will provide the materials and help you need to make a woven willow plant support that you can take home to display within your own garden.

Gloucestershire born Helen has taught willow work for many years at schools and colleges across the Cotswolds and grows a substantial amount of willow at her own home, which she uses to create sculptures, baskets and other artistic items.

A hands-on day out with all the trimmings!

This inspiring and informative workshop will include a delicious two-course lunch served in the Orchard Room, freshly prepared by Highgrove’s in-house chefs.

The Estate Shop will also be open for an hour on the day for you to browse, where you’ll find an array of seasonal plants, beautiful home and garden ware, and many other artisan products from around the UK, including pieces that have been designed exclusively for Highgrove.

Towards the end of this hands-on day out, coffee will be served and there will be time for questions with Helen Lomberg, rounding off a great start to the gardening season.
