Camino to COP26 - A Gathering of Lament and Hope

Sunday, September 12, 2021

A multi-faith group of walkers will be welcomed to Stroud on Saturday 11 September by Stroud Centre for Peace and the Arts at St Laurence Church. The pilgrims are part of a national campaign making the 350-plus miles journey on foot to Glasgow for the United Nations November Climate Change Conference (COP26), to raise awareness of the climate emergency. At 9.30am on Sunday 12 September an inclusive "Sacred Gathering of lament and Hope" is planned at St Laurence Church. This will include hearing from the pilgrims about their intention for the long walk to Glasgow, facts about the climate crisis, and a chance to face into the feelings this brings up.

Time: 0930

Where: St Laurence Parish Church, Church Street, Stroud, Gloucestershire
