Love your heart this Valentine’s Day with a free membership to the Pulse

Residents can make sure their hearts are in the best shape by signing up for a free seven day membership at the Pulse, Dursley.

The offer includes a free induction, a personal exercise programme, and use of the gym, pool and classes during off-peak hours. It also includes a health analysis taken by a state-of-the-art Boditrax machine which measures over 20 different key body metrics including metabolic age, and BMI, and identifies potential health risks such as heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis.

The offer is available until the end of February, and is open to new customers and past users who have not used the facilities during the past 3 months during off peak hours.

In addition The Pulse is offering the opportunity to look after the hearts of others by running a free CPR taster session which will demonstrate life saving techniques on adults, children and babies and show participants how to use a defibrillator.

Manager Angela Gillingham said:

"A year ago, two of our fantastic lifeguards performed CPR that saved the life of one of our customers. They were praised by the paramedics and doctors involved, who said that the actions they took made an enormous difference.

“We wanted to make sure that as many people as possible learned this potentially lifesaving skill."

The free session take place on Saturday 23 February, 12.30pm-1.30pm and is suitable for both adults and children. There are limited spaces available.

For more information about the free seven day membership, or to book a place on the CPR taster session ring 01453 546441.
