Interested in becoming a county councillor?

If you’re interested in representing your local community, why not stand for election as a county councillor for Gloucestershire County Council? That’s the message from Stroud District Council, which is running the election for the Stroud county divisions on Thursday, 4 May 2017.
These elections, which are held every four years, will be for the 10 county divisions within the Stroud district.
Prospective candidates and election agents are invited to attend a briefing session on Monday 6 March 2017 at 6.00pm in the council chamber at the council offices in Ebley Mill. The briefing will cover key processes in the election timetable and guidance on how to complete a nomination paper. Nomination papers will be available at the briefing.
Anyone interested in attending the briefing should email elections@stroud.gov.uk with their name and the county division within the district that you are thinking of standing for.
