Get Involved! Open Day on the Sub Rooms review this weekend

Published: Tuesday, 14 February, 2017

This Saturday, 18th February, Stroud District Council will be hosting an open day at the Subscription Rooms in Stroud, to share information on the review process and listen to your views.

Last month Stroud district councillors approved a list of options to be explored for the 183 year-old building, which last year saw funding costs rise to £415,000. The Sub Rooms is the only council-owned and run arts and entertainment facility in the district.

Information displays will be in the Ballroom from 9.30am until 2pm, highlighting information on the history of the venue, why the review is happening, the process, options and the consultation research from the last few months.

Staff and councillors will be on hand to discuss the review process due to begin on March 1st, and listen to feedback from the community. Following the open day, much of the information will then be available on SDCs website stroud.gov.uk.

More information on the event can be found at stroud.gov.uk/news-archive/have-your-say-on-sub-rooms-options and any questions about the review should be sent to subrooms.review@stroud.gov.uk
