Eight great half term activities that won’t cost a penny

Half term is round the corner and we’ve drawn together a list of eight great activities to help keep children occupied in the Stroud district, without breaking the bank.

From tennis to poetry to Zumba, Stroud District Council facilities including Stratford Park Leisure Centre, The Pulse, and The Museum in the Park have got it covered.

Childrens’ Zumba taster sessions: Wednesday, February 20, 1pm to 1.45pm and 1.45pm and 2.30pm, Stratford Park Leisure Centre, Stroud. Child-friendly routines based on original Zumba choreography. To book call 01453 766 771.

I Spy Hunt: Spot the Walled Garden Robins | Saturday 16 – Sunday 24 February, Stroud Museum in the Park | See if you can spot all the robins outside in the wintry Walled Garden, and look out for signs of spring along the way. For all ages, but designed with younger children in mind.

NEW EXHIBITION Japan: A Floating World in Print | Saturday 16 February – Sunday 24 March, Stroud Museum in the Park. This exhibition promises to surprise and delight. It brings you a captivating display of Japanese ‘Ukiyo-e' woodcut prints, or ‘pictures of the floating world’. Not to be missed!.
