Satisfaction with Stroud District Council is running at an all time high, according to a recent survey.

The survey shows that 80% of residents and 70% of businesses are very satisfied or satisfied with the council. The survey also confirmed the council’s best ever value for money rating by residents and businesses.

The results top last year’s survey, which showed resident satisfaction at 78% and business satisfaction at 64%.

David Hagg, Chief Executive of Stroud District Council said:

"We are delighted that our residents and businesses rate us so highly. Each year, we commission an independent survey and on almost every measure including value for money, the scores are at record levels. It is reassuring that we are delivering services that are valued across Stroud district."

Mr Hagg added:

"Dissatisfaction levels are also at all time lows. Council staff and councillors are doing their best and it’s great that their efforts are recognised by so many people. The financial pressures on the council continue but we try to provide the best services possible.!

The survey came at the end of a year which included improvements to the council’s waste and recycling services affecting every household in the district.
