Right to Buy

This could be the perfect time to consider buying your home.

If you have been a secure Council tenant for at least three years (not necessarily at the same property) you could be eligible for a discount on the purchase price of your property of up to a maximum of £84,200, depending on how long you have been a social tenant. You can apply on your own, or make a joint application with someone who shares your tenancy or with members of your family who have lived with you for the past 12 months.

Stroud District Council’s office at Ebley Mill is open for urgent enquiries but please avoid calling in if you can. You will find the answer to most of your questions on the right to buy website. If you do come to Ebley Mill there are now measures in place to ensure there is a distance of two metres between visitors and the reception desk.
