More ways to make your voice heard

Stroud tenant voice provides a range of opportunities for you to tell us your views and help us improve our services.

Shaping our services

There are lots of ways for you to get involved and have real influence on the types of services we provide and the role we play in your community.  Your views matter to us and there are a number of ways in which you can have your say or get involved:

This ‘hands on’ involvement role would see you trained up to look at our repairs and maintenance services in more detail.  In this role you would inspect the quality of the work carried out and the contractor’s level of customer service to the householder.  You would report on how well we are doing and make suggestions on how we can improve.  Call 01453 754113 for more information.

Resident associations

Join your local resident association and work with your neighbours to improve your community. Currently, there are resident associations in:

  • Sunnyhill, Cashes Green, Stroud
  • Nouncell’s Cross, Stroud
  • Top of the Hill, Stroud
  • Woodfields, Cam
  • Tynings, Nailsworth

Tenant representatives

Tenant representatives act as a voice for their neighbourhood. You can become a representative either by joining your local residents association, setting up an association or becoming a tenant street rep.  Tenant representatives cover the following neighbourhoods:

  • Brownshill, Chalford
  • Central Road, Downfield, Stroud
  • Slimbridge
  • Swedale, Stancombe & Windy Ridge, Bisley

If you don't have a local representative resident group you can set one up.  Call your Neighbourhood Management Officer for advice.

So that we can include as many tenants as possible in our consultations on the design and delivery of our services to you, we are planning a programme of digital consultation through social media.  As a 24/7 communication tool, social media gives those of you with busy lives or limited access to transport an opportunity to have your say at your convenience.  In the meantime, we use our SDC Tenants Facebook page to keep you up-to-date with our news.  If you 'like us' you will be able to follow our news feed.

Please come along to a fun, informal and family friendly day near you to meet our staff and have your say to help us improve our services and make the right decisions for you.  Dates will be advertised here, and in our newsletter, Keynotes.
