The examination concluded on 6th September 2018.
The examiner recommended that the plan, once modified, should proceed to a Referendum.
On 13th September 2018, Stroud District Council’s Environment Committee decided that the Dursley Neighbourhood Plan, once modified in accordance with the Examiner’s Report recommendations, should proceed to a referendum.
Referendum
A Referendum relating to the adoption of the Dursley Neighbourhood Development Plan was held on Thursday 15th November 2018.

The question which was asked in the Referendum was: "Do you want Stroud District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Dursley to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
The result was as follows:
- Yes = 1434 votes (85.5%)
- No = 243 votes (14.5%)
- Turnout = 31.7%
