Stroud District Pilot Brownfield Register

In March 2016 the Government announced 73 Councils across England to pilot new brownfield registers. The registers are designed to provide house builders with up-to-date and publically available information on all brownfield sites available for housing locally. The registers will become a statutory requirement for all Councils from 2017 under the proposals going through Parliament in the Housing and Planning Bill.

The pilot scheme comprises the 15 Councils with the most brownfield land in their areas, together with 58 Councils selected on a competitive basis. Stroud District Council was successful in its bid to be part of the pilot scheme and our Pilot Brownfield Register is now available in a choice of formats:
