Trees

Trees in a conservation area or with Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) normally require consent from the council to do work to them. It an offence to cut down, top, lop, uproot, wilfully damage or wilfully destroy a protected tree without the authority’s permission if required.

Please note if you are in any doubt as to whether the tree is protected email a map showing the location of the tree (trunk and spread) and its species for confirmation prior to starting works on the site.
