2030 Strategy - Limiting, adapting, recovering and responding in a changing climate

Stroud District Council is committed to a fast paced target of the entire district being carbon neutral by 2030 but with this we must also ensure good quality of life and prospects for our citizens and a thriving and resilient natural environment.

Our 2030 Strategy and Master Plan is set out to frame a ‘one council’ approach to delivering our part in the climate and ecological emergency response and to leading others to join us.

Our Mission is to always…

…act as an example in the community to be an enabler and encourager of positive action. Through our services, policies and projects to do everything in our power to collaboratively achieve a just transition to a carbon neutral, resilient, inclusive and equality driven district.

Hear about how we are delivering on 2030 Mission in our slideshow featuring our apprentice Amelia Bolton-Harris.

Our Commitment

Alongside our mission we hold a strong commitment to tackling the cause of accelerated climate change by doing everything in our power to be a carbon neutral district by 2030.
