Freedom of information (FOI)
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides public access to information held by public authorities. We publish lots of information on our transparency pages (click open data below) and we publish the last years worth of requests on our FOI register.
Information that's already published
The information you want may already be published by us. Please check the existing information sources below before making a request.
Once you have checked the information is not already available, you will need to put your request in writing so we have a permanent record of it.
How do I make a valid request?
To make a valid request it must:
- be in writing,
- include your real name (even if you're making the request on behalf of an organisation),
- include an address to reply (usually your email address),
- describe the information you are requesting.
