Staff wanted for the Annual Canvass 2022

We are recruiting canvassers to undertake a telephone canvass and make subsequent visits to any properties in an allocated area where a household has not responded to the Canvass Form or subsequent reminders. The purpose of this visit or telephone call will be to encourage the occupant to complete the Canvass Form to know which residents who are eligible should be registered at the address. Additionally, canvassers will be required to visit properties where an Invitation to Register is also outstanding for any elector within their allocated designated area. We anticipate the designated canvasser property area to be between 250-300 properties.


Canvassers are required to complete the canvassing activity within the period from the 6 October to 28 November and should undertake a minimum of two visits to each property where necessary. Canvassers must be able to work during evening and weekends for the whole duration of 8 weeks and regularly visit the office to drop off completed forms.


Canvassers must attend a mandatory training session and will be paid on performance on a sliding scale depending on the percentage of completed forms returned (currently under review – please email us for more information). Additionally, canvassers will also be paid 0.45p per mile, 0.45p per initial form as an admin fee and a £20 training fee.
