Hi I’m Ange and I am in the privileged position of leading and supporting this fantastic team of Community Health and Wellbeing professionals.
I am currently working on the councils Leisure and wellbeing strategy which is designed to improve how we deliver both physical and mental wellbeing, whilst working with our internal and external community partners to deliver the very best support and opportunities for those of us lucky enough to live and work in the Stroud District.
I am a member of We Can Move Programme Board which works in collaboration with Active Glos and other close district partners to share learning, pilot physical activity initiatives and most importantly review and learn from our physical activity programmes.
I am also responsible for the Pulse Leisure Centre, in Dursley, and the contract at Stratford Park Leisure centre.
Hi, I’m Emma I am the Community Health & Wellbeing Manager within the team.
My role is to plan and influence the work of our team and our health and wellbeing partners.
I work with Public Health, the Gloucestershire Clinical Commission Group and our local GPs, health and care partners to influence how services should be delivered in our district.
A large part of my role is being an advocate for strengths based voluntary and community work as a way to encourage stronger, healthier communities. I co-host our district network for the voluntary and statutory sectors called Know Your Patch and I’m an advocate for the role of the voluntary sector in a number of county health forums. I also lead on the development of Community Hubs across the district to support new groups who want to do more for their communities post-pandemic. I advise on grant funding and help voluntary sector organisations work together with partners.

Hello, my name is Martha and I’m the Healthy Lifestyles Officer for Older People.
I’m responsible for the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of our Healthy Lifestyles Projects with a specific focus on those aimed at our older population. I have worked in the Health and Fitness industry since 2014, specialising in the Prevention, Rehabilitation and Recovery of medical conditions since 2016. In that time, I’ve become passionate about ensuring that we offer a variety of exercise classes and activities for older people, to enable them to maintain/improve their physical and mental health, mobility, confidence and independence into their later years. Most of my time is spent out in the community delivering the following range of classes: Better Balance, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Respiratory Rehabilitation. When required, I also carry out 1:1 Exercise Referral consultations and reviews with clients to assist them with their health goals. Another part of my role is working in partnership and liaising frequently with GP’s, Nurses, Physiotherapists and other Health Professionals to ensure good networks and referral pathways are maintained.
