Repairs will be prioritised with only `emergency’ and `urgent’ repairs being carried out, which may take longer than normal. Some simple repairs can be carried out by you, for example re-setting a boiler. If this is the case a member of the repairs team will talk you through the instructions.
When an operative arrives at your home they will take extra precautions (for example you will be asked if you or a member of your household are self isolating), and will wear extra protective equipment.
We pledge that no council tenant will be evicted due to rent arrears which have accrued as a direct result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
You are still being charged weekly rent and, following government advice, are still liable to pay as usual.

If you are in receipt of :
- full Housing Benefit - your rent will continue to be paid to us directly
- Universal Credit - you are expected to maintain payments as normal and should not be using your housing (element) costs to pay other bills.

Right to Buy Applications
Due to the backlog of Right to Buy applications we are dealing with as a result of Covid 19, a high volume of new applications and a reduction in staff numbers due to illness there is currently an 8-10 week delay in registering new Right to Buy applications, please bear with us.

Leaseholder Service Charges
Due to Covid-19 and a reduction in staff numbers due to illness there is a delay in issuing the service charge invoices for leaseholders which were due to be issued on 1st December 2020. We hope to be in a position to issue them by the end of March 2021. Please bear with us, we apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience.
