Bookmark Box for Ukraine

Are you are hosting a Ukrainian family with one or more 5-9 year olds who have not yet received a Bookmark welcome box?

The Bookmark charity raised £1million to create the ‘Bookmark Box for Ukraine’ to help children aged 5-9 start their new chapter in the UK feeling secure, welcome and inspired. The box will offer children something of their own at a time when they may have left everything behind.

What’s in the ‘Bookmark Box for Ukraine’?

High-quality books in Ukrainian and English, a tablet pre-loaded with multilingual eBooks, literacy and language apps, activities together with a SIM card to stay in touch with family and friends, school stationery sets and sensory games and story-telling aides for therapeutic play.

 

The community health and wellbeing team at Stroud District Council want to ensure that every Ukrainian child aged 5-9 living with a host family in the Stroud district receives a ‘Bookmark Box for Ukraine’.
