Adventures in Art Journaling
For young people aged 11-25 with an eating problem or disorder, and young people who are struggling with body image.
Take time to focus on a positive activity alongside other young people who have a shared understanding and experience. The focus is on the creative activity not on any medical conditions.
This course is now open to young people registered at any of the surgeries within the Stroud District.
Stroud District Council and Berkeley Vale Primary Care Network are working in partnership with Jo Beal: artist, illustrator and workshop leader to deliver an Adventures in Art Journaling Course, four online sessions using Zoom:
- Discover a creative habit
- Try different approaches to drawing and lettering
- Gain confidence in your drawing
- No experience necessary
Each one hour session will include a warm-up activity, a themed drawing session and ideas for using creative lettering. The focus is on drawing: gain confidence in your drawing, develop observation skills and use drawing to capture and reflect on your life and the world around you.
This course is being funded as part of our eating disorder workstream. The focus is on the creative activity, there will be no pressure or expectation to share any personal or medical information during these sessions.
The four dates for the next course will be posted here, once confirmed.
