Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) - Don’t Miss Out
We are expecting further funding from the government at the end of June so are busily working on a new ARG (discretionary) policy which we will aim to go live in July. Updates will be posted on the website as things progress.
In the meantime, we are reopening the existing policy and providing a final window for new applications. This is aimed at those businesses who were eligible but have not yet made a claim.
The Grant will be payable as a one off discretionary payment to businesses meeting the eligibility criteria between 16 February 2021 and 31 March 2021. The scheme is now live and we are inviting new applications via the secure online form between 14 June and 20 June.
If you have previously made an application or received a payment under this scheme then please do not apply and await details of the new scheme in July.
All eligible businesses will need to make an application for a restart grant even if your business has received payment from previous grants.
To qualify, the business must be a business ratepayer, must have been trading on 1 April 2021 and be in one of the relevant sectors
Please note that the council are required to undertake more extensive and robust pre-payment checks on the restart grants, so processing times for these grants may be longer.
