Consultation on Stroud District Council's Statement of Licensing Policy for Alcohol, Entertainment and Late Night Refreshment Licensing
This Consultation is now closed
Under the Licensing Act 2003 Stroud District Council issues licences and temporary permissions to premises where one or more of the following licensable activities take place.
- sale of alcohol
- regulated entertainment
- late night refreshment.
The Act requires the Council to publish a Statement of Policy every 5 years. The Statement gives guidance to applicants, licence holders and the public on how the Council will make its decisions under the Act.
Why We Are Consulting
Stroud District Council’s current Statement of Policy will expire in January 2021. We therefore must consult and adopt a new Statement.
We have assessed our current Statement and made some amendments to make sure it is up to date. We are seeking the views of residents, Councillors, relevant organisations and licence holders on our draft Statement for the next 5 years. Your feedback is important because it will help us to ensure that we have identified all the relevant issues and challenges.
You can tell us your comments by emailing us at email@example.com
The Council will consider all consultation responses before submitting a final draft to Council for adoption
