Democracy Development Manager
Temporary for 2 years
 
£45,082 pro rata
 
22.12 hours per week
 
This post will provide a pivotal role in developing and providing leadership to the Democratic Services and Elections team.
 
Key responsibilities include: supporting the team to deliver work relating to electoral registration, the conduct of elections, parish polls, referendums, boundary and parish reviews. You will also help to ensure the efficient servicing of meetings of the Council and its Committees.
 
You will need to hold the Association of Electoral Administrators diploma with extensive and current electoral services experience and be a member of the Association of Democratic Services Officers or equivalent. You will also need an excellent working knowledge of electoral legislation and regulations and democratic services and processes.
 
With a proven track record in developing and providing direction to staff, you will have the ability to work calmly under pressure and to take the team forward.
First class communication skills with a clear focus on providing excellent customer service are essential.
