Democratic Services Manager
Temporary until April 2013
£33,661 p.a
(37 hrs per week)
We are looking to recruit to this post which will be an integral part of the Council’s Democratic Services Team. You will ensure that the support to Councillors and the decision making process is forward looking and adopts new and flexible ways of working to connect with both members and the public. You will work closely with Members of the Council and officers.
You will have:
  • An excellent knowledge of the law and practice relating to local authority governance.
  •   A proven track record of managing projects, budgets and staff.
    ·  A proven track record of working closely with Elected Members, senior council officers and also a range of external partners on matters relating to governance and decision making.
    ·  A knowledge of local government election procedures and process.
