Standing List of Contractors

Selection Procedure

Stroud District Council has a strong Environmental ethos. This extends to reducing "construction miles" by procuring labour and materials locally wherever possible at economic levels. The assessment for Standing list of Contractors includes questions on your local base, employing local labour, working on local training initiatives and contributions to the local community, and also your Environmental Management Strategy.

The scoring matrix will also consider Financial Status, Staffing levels, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, H R policies, experience. We may wish to take up references from previous Public Sector Clients.

Each Contractor will be assessed for various bands of contract value. The selection procedure wishes to encourage applications from smaller contractors who may be keen to undertake some of our minor projects to ensure best fit of Contractor to size of project.
