Keep the kids happy with Kapers summer fun!

Release Date: 19 July 2012

Children across the district can look forward to a fun packed summer holiday with the Stroud District Council's Kapers Playscheme. During the long school holidays there will be fun and exciting activities provided for all 5 - 12 year olds. Whilst there have already been lots of bookings for this popular scheme there are still some spaces available, on first come first served basis.

Fun and structured activities will be on offer, with plenty of time available for free play or to just relax and chill out. The activities are laid out across the day, making time to calm down, have a drink and tuck into a scrummy but healthy packed lunch that everybody needs to bring along with them.

Kapers is packed with fun and exciting activities including:

arts and crafts

games and competitions

drama and music

sports and activities

special workshops

themed days and much more!

There will be three equally vibrant venues, Wotton Sports Centre, Thomas Keble Sports Centre and Maidenhill Sport & Dance Centre. Each will run five action packed days, facilitating play opportunities, providing creative environments and offering energy expending physical activity.

The scheme is run by an experienced, enthusiastic and energetic team. Kapers Playscheme provides an extended day opportunity ideal for the busy family throughout the summer where children and young people can be entertained from 8.30am till 5pm; with the original 10am-3pm hours also available. At a snip of childcare costs, this is a fantastic opportunity to get the children out of the house, active and learning in a sociable and friendly environment.
