To celebrate National Market Day and the 'Love Your Local Market' campaign, we are offering any new traders the opportunity to set up stall on the Shambles Market on Wednesday 4th July, for just £2. Follow in the footsteps of some of the big High Street names by starting your business on a market stall, or simply indulge your passion

The Mary Portas report in to the High Street, made particular reference to the role of markets and acknowledged that markets can be a significant economic driver in achieving success. She also highlighted how markets can provide opportunities for new start businesses.

While markets have a vital retail role, they can provide much more to a local community. The bustle and colour of a successful market is difficult to rival.

Potential market traders will need to book a pitch in advance by calling our Market Supervisor, Ken Stevens, on 07515 392958 (by 26th June).
