On 14 June 2012 Stroud District Council is hosting an Evening of Energy for landlords across Gloucestershire. The two-hour event at Stroud District Council's Ebley Mill offices begins at 6:30pm.
Emma Quest, the council's energy officer, will speak on the Government's flagship energy scheme, The Green Deal, which is due to start in autumn. Severn Wye Energy Agency will also give a seminar on grants which are currently available for private sector landlords in the county.
Miss Quest said:
'The private rental sector is becoming increasingly important, especially in recent years. The aim of the event to make landlords aware of the latest energy efficiency initiatives and advice that is available to them. In a world of ever increasing energy prices and environmental concerns, more energy efficient homes will be more attractive to potential tenants.'
Booking is required for this free event as spaces are limited. Anyone wishing to attend should call Susie Phelps on 01453 754449 or email susan.phelps@stroud.gov.uk by the 8th June.
