Stroud District Council

Corporate Delivery Plan

To help the Council deliver its Vision it produces a 4-year rolling Corporate Delivery Plan (CDP). Our progress in delivering the CDP is reviewed annually and every March we publish a new version. We do this in advance of our budget planning, which takes place in the autumn / winter of each year. This allows us to maintain a focus over the medium term and ensures that we plan financially and adapt what we do to the changing demands of local people and the Government.

Below is our latest CDP and covers the period 2010-14. We use the plan to maintain our focus on the medium term and the changing demands of local people and the Government. Because of the increasing pressure on local government finances, and the impact of the recession on our communities, we are concentrating on fewer actions than in previous years.

This plan seeks to demonstrate how our vision will be achieved around four key priorities:

  • ECONOMY - Help local people and businesses recover from the recession and grow the local economy
  • AFFORDABLE HOUSING -Provide affordable and decent housing
  • CLIMATE CHANGE - Help the community minimise its carbon footprint, adapt to climate change, recycle more and send as little waste to landfill as possible
  • RESOURCES - Provide value for money to our taxpayers and high quality services to our customers
