Stroud District Council

Corporate Delivery Plan

To help the Council deliver its Vision it produces a 4-year rolling Corporate Delivery Plan (CDP). The CDP sets out how the priorities of local people are to be tackled. The CDP is structured around 5 headline priorities, which are subdivided into 'areas of focus'. The Executive and Strategic Team monitor progress on a monthly basis.

Annual Report

BVPP

The Council also produces an annual Best Value Performance Plan (BVPP) which provides a summary of our performance during the previous year.

eCDP

In 2006 we developed an electronic version of the CDP. Using this interactive software the CDP is now updated quarterly.

Measures

The latest CDP identified a number of measures that support each priority and its associated area of focus. Individually and collectively the measures are designed to:

  1. Give local people an indication of the state of the district generally; and,
  2. Provide the Council with a way of gauging its effectiveness as a community leader and whether efforts to work with and through others are making a difference.

For a variety of reasons some of the measures the Council has settled on are better than others and any limitations will be addressed over time.
The data underpinning the measures is collected and made available at different times by a variety of organisations. For some measures it will only be possible to provide annual updates, others will be done quarterly.
