Your Councillor (also known as your local Member) must follow certain policies and procedures determined by the County Council, most of which are within the Constitution. Please find further information below.
Local authorities can pay their Members an allowance / expenses in respect of the duties they undertake in their role as Councillor. This is determined by the Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) England Regulations 2003.
