Local Development Scheme

As part of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 the Council has to produce a Local Development Scheme (LDS). The LDS sets out the documents that this Council will be producing in the next three years as part of its Local Development Framework (LDF). It also sets out the timetable for their production and indicates at what stage you can become involved in the LDF preparation process.

The LDS is reviewed regularly to take into account any changes in the process and to update the detail. The current LDS, (October 2007 version), has been submitted to the Government Office for the South West (GOSW). The agreement of the Secretary of State is awaited. If any changes are recommended, these will be considered and input to the document as appropriate. The LDS is available below together with previous editions to download:
