Housing Land Availability Assessment

Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (HLAA) provides information on opportunities that exist to meet the housing needs within the District. The HLAA is a key component of the evidence base to support the delivery of sufficient land for housing to meet the community's need for more homes.

It will inform the core Strategy DPD (Development Plan Document), which sets out the key elements of the planning framework for Stroud District.

The aim of the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment is to:

  • identify sites with potential for housing
  • assess their housing potential, and
  • assess when they are likely to be developed

Submission of Sites

The assessment is now at a stage where we are inviting sites to come forward to be included in the study. If you wish to propose a site for consideration please send the following information:

  • Site location plan
  • Description of site, including size and current land use
  • Title of site - owned by developer, options agreed, owner interested in developing site, or site not currently available
  • Indicative number of dwellings
  • Possible mix of uses

Deadline for Submission

The deadline for the submission of sites to be considered for inclusion to be fed into the Core Strategy is 28th March 2008.
