Talented Young Sports Performer Grant Programme

Stroud District Youth Council Logo

To address a lack of financial backing for talented individual sports performers both in Stroud and nationally, Stroud District Council has created a Talented Young Sports Performer Grant Programme. The grants will allow individual athletes at national, international or paraolympic level the chance to apply for funding from the Stroud District Council Youth Council.

Sports players who have benefited from the Sports Performer Grant Programme Once the application is received, the Council's Regeneration Through Sport Manager will assess it against a standard set of criteria and make recommendations to the Youth Council. They will then finalise the amount of money to be allocated to each person at a Youth Council meeting. The grants are not retrospective and there will be up to 3 assessments per financial year in June, September/October and January/February.
