In order to set up your Direct Debit Instruction on-line you will need to provide the following information through the setting up procedure (your cheque book contains all the bank details that you require):
Bank or Building Society name and account number, sort code and branch address.
Familiar with BillPay? Use the BillPay logo button to go to Santander secure website log-in.
First time user instructions
If you have not used Billpay before you will need to register, (Santander BillPay) follow the on screen instructions giving all requested details.
Please Note: If you need any assistance with Santander BillPay, please call their Help Desk on 0151 966 2105. This service is available from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
You can use the 24 hour automated telephone payment service which accepts debit or credit cards. Telephone 01453 768 100. Please have your council tax reference number and credit or debit card ready when you call.
Please follow the instructions given. Once you are familiar with the system, payment can be made more quickly by cutting short the full message. There is no need to wait for a message to be completed before pressing the keys.
Please wait for your reference number at the end of the call to confirm your payment has been made.
You can also pay by card, cash or cheque at the Cashiers Office within Ebley Mill in person. Please ensure you write your account number on the back of your cheque.
The Cashiers Office at Ebley Mill is open 10.00 - 4.00 Monday to Friday.

Unless you pay by Direct Debit, you must pay your 10 monthly instalments on the 1st of each month. If you prefer to pay yearly or half-yearly, you must either pay the full bill by 1st April, or half by 1st April and the rest by 1st September.
You can pay your Council Tax free of charge at any Post Office using your Council Tax payment card. If you would like to apply for a Council Tax payment card please contact revenue.services@stroud.gov.uk or telephone 01453 754865
You can use this form to check your Council Tax balance. Please enter your account reference, which can be found on the front of your bill on the right hand side.
