Council House Maintenance

Planned maintenance to Council housing is carried out every 1-5 years according to our programme of works. This includes external repairs, gas boiler servicing or major such as the replacement of old and defective roofs, comprehensive refurbishment, window and central heating replacement and kitchen and bathroom replacement.

The Council is aiming to meet the Government's Decent Homes Standard by 2010 and we are carrying out a number of improvements to in order to achieve this.
In order to assist us to identify our priorities the Council has undertaken a stock condition survey and this has been used to determine the current planned maintenance programme.

The Council will contact you if we are scheduling planned maintenance work, however if you would like to know whether any improvements are planned in your area:
