Housing Strategy

The Housing Strategy 2005-09 explains the Council's priorities for housing for the five-year period following its publication. The Government Office for the South West has assessesed the Housing Strategy and confirmed that it meets the Government's "Fit For Purpose " criterion.

The broad strategic objectives will remain unchanged during the life of the Strategy, although the Action Plan is updated annually so as to remain effective and Fit For Purpose The Housing Strategy, its Action Plan, & Statistical Appendices can be downloaded below:

Housing Strategy Action Plan 2005 - 09

The Action Plan is monitored against 'milestones', objectives, and targets. Where objectives need to be reviewed, revised targets are set, taking account of consultation feedback from stakeholders. The Action Plan is monitored quarterly and updated annually.

Housing Revenue Account Business Plan

Our Housing Revenue Account Business Plan contains details of the Council's performance in managing and maintaining its own housing, and accompanies the Housing Strategy. This document is available on the Housing Revenue Account Business Plan page.
