The Homelessness Act 2002 identifies the groups of people which are considered to be in PRIORITY need and which the Council has a duty to provide accommodation.
If we accept someone as being in priority need then we will try to find them permanent accommodation as soon as possible. However sometimes we have to use Bed and Breakfast accommodation until permanent accommodation can be identified.
If you would like to make a homelessness application, or arrange an appointment to see a Housing Advice Officer you should contact the Housing Advice Team on telephone: 01453 754078 or e-mail homelessnessadvice@stroud.gov.uk
Youth Homelessness Monitoring Form
The Youth Homelessness Monitoring Form is used to collect accurate statistics so that the council can work with other agencies to ensure that it can develop new accommodation and support services in the future. They are used to track clients visiting two or more agencies and help to ensure that all the agencies across Stroud work together to improve the services we all offer.
