Affordable Housing and Housing Associations

Affordable housing is low-cost and subsidised housing that is available to people who cannot afford to rent or buy houses generally available in the local market. This includes housing for rent, housing for shared ownership, and low-cost home ownership.

Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) - also known as Housing Associations

Housing associations are the main providers of new social housing. There are over 20 housing associations that own in excess of 1,000 homes around the District. It may be possible for you to purchase your housing association home at a discount.

Low Cost Home Ownership options
