Searching for information
There are lots of different ways of searching for information on this site, however a good place to start is the search bar that is present at the top of every page:

If you enter a word into this box and click "go" then the search engine will find any pages or documents on the website that are associated with the word you entered.
You can also search the site using the A-Z index of pages - this is also available on every page via the grid of letters on the top right green bar. If you click a letter you will see that the page reloads and below the current heading there will be a box that looks like this:

Select the page that you want from the list and click "Go" to navigate to it.
There is a free-text search facility too. This searches Within the web pages for the words you have entered, but this is normally less effective that using the regular site search and can produce lots of results. This is available in the Search this site section.
Other types of search
There are also some other useful facilities for finding information. The FAQ has a search facility that lets you look for answers to common questions about our services. Linked to this is the Services A-Z which is rather like a 'yellow pages' of things that the council does. This also has a search mechnism.
Finally, the Site Map is always up to date and contains a 'Windows Explorer' style representation of every page on the website.
