The inaugural meeting of the Stroud District Older Persons' Forum was held on 27 th March 2008 in St Laurence Church Hall in Stroud.
The forum has been supported by Stroud District Council through provision of funding to Gloucestershire Older Person's Assembly (GOPA) and will provide important links to other projects going on in Gloucestershire, such as care hubs and the POPPs projects.
The membership of the Forum is a particular opportunity to link with older people who are not currently known to the services and these will be identified through several routes, for example Neighbourhood Wardens, Careline, Virtual Teams and Care and Repair.
