Kimberís Men are probably Great Britainís finest purveyors of sea songs and shanties. Playing a selection of instruments and singing traditional and contemporary songs, their harmonies are superb. Performing at an impressive list of sea and folk festivals from Ireland to Denmark, audiences have raved over Kimberís Men. Formed in the summer of 2001, they now comprise Dave Buckley (shipís Captain); Gareth Scott (Powder Monkey) and founding members, the shipís cook, doctor and bosun who are best left nameless. Recently featured in the BBC4TV production of ĎSea Songsí, they have five CDís on release some of which can be found in all the best garden centres and gift shopís of Kent and Essex; not to mention your local Tesco supermarket.
