Why do I need to book an appointment to go to an HWRC if I drive a van or tow a large trailer?
![]()
It is necessary to book an appointment to bring a van, pick-up or vehicle with a trailer to any of Gloucestershire county Council's Household Recycling Centres. Small trailers with a load space up to 6ft by 4ft do not need to book. This is because HWRCs are only able to accept domestic waste and not that arising from businesses. These restrictions aim to reduce the number of traders using the site. By ringing Gloucestershire County Council on 0845 602 9344, you can book an appointment to visit the site the following day."
