Inclement Weather

During the winter as a result of inclement weather there may be times when we have suspend our scheduled refuse, recycling and bulky waste collections. The main reason why we might have to cancel collections would be as a result of snowfall.

When we do need to cancel collections, we would ask for your assistance by following the advice below;

If possible take your waste back into your property and present on the next scheduled collection day.
Where it is not possible to store waste for another week, please leave your waste on the curtilage of your property, somewhere visible where the crews can see it. We do endeavour to complete all scheduled collections by the end of the following day, however, if there is a prolonged period of inclement weather this might not always be possible.

Updates on the progress of waste services during inclement weather will be displayed on our webpage and covered by local media.
